Hip Happenin

So I'm sick. And being sick makes me grumpy. Mostly because I'm antsy and all I'm able to do is lay in bed all day everyday until I'm better. But laying in bed all day everyday especially during the summer makes me grumpy. Let's talk about today when it was raining buckets and dogs. I got to watch it from a bed watching TV.

But here's the thing.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros...best thing to happen to my music library in a long old time.
Oh, what a coincidence that they're coming to Minneapolis August 2. Guess who's going to be there. That's right. Me. You need to listen to Home and 40 Day Dream. and you will not regret it my friend. You will not.

Also, I'm fairly certain I've watched Breakfast at Tiffany's this weekend more times than I can count on my left hand (or my right). (I use the term "weekend" loosely...it's more like "week" but this has just felt like one big weekend so we'll just leave it at that)

And for Willy, I just wanted to mention my trip to Spin night club last Thursday night. One word: ew. Went to go see Benny Benassi DJ and also went to decide that I never need to do that again. I'm sure the fire code was broken, and I'm sure it was fun until it got awful and there was no way to get away from the pounding bass and too-loud music (let me tell you, it takes a lot for me to say it's too loud. I'm not too old, so therefore the "if it's too loud you're too old" saying doesn't apply) But I have to say it was good for a few laughs..such as the girls wearing tiny tiny spandex shorts, bras, neon fishnet and GIANT furry boots. Did I mention I saw bright purple ones? Like these, but neon.

It's like wearing muppets on your feet. No thank you.
