The Beginning of Something Fabulous

So since we don't have enough to do, or rather, enough to do that we actually want to do, we decided to start this awesome blog to share awesome things with the world. We'll show you things we like that maybe you'll like too.

Here are a few of my favorite things:

• I've been listening to Beirut a ton lately, and Emily and I actually had a hilarious story about them, but in reality its not hilarious so I think we'll just keep it to ourselves to keep up our street cred, it's pretty important to us. But back to the point, Beirut is fabulous. Listen to them. They're often described as a "Balkan gypsy orchestra," but modern, so give them a try. And once you do, tell us where you've heard their song Nantes before, its driving us nuts!
  
• Another addition to our playlist is Emily Jane White, and her song (and video) Wild Tigers I Have Known is beautiful. Her song Blue is up there on my favorites, too.
• Can't forget the Moldy Peaches! Fun, silly, sweet music you can really relate to, like Downloading Porn With Dave or Who's Got the Crack? But the song you'll probably recognize is Anyone Else But You, from the movie Juno, written by Minnesota's stripper-turned-writer, Diablo Cody (Everyone seems to love that story...just thought I'd throw it in there).
  

Ok that post officially took me about 89 hours to write, so things are looking good for the future of this. Enjoy
